Postaler, 1984

Postcard Rack, 1984
Object, Postcard rack: 195 x 56 x 56 cm; 120 mirrors: 10 x 15 cm each; 6 photographs: 29.5 x 138.5 cm
A metal postcard rack, like the ones commonly used in shops, displays mirrors instead of postcards, reflecting its immediate surroundings. Perejaume hiked up a mountain with the postcard rack over his shoulder to place it in different landscapes. The mirrors reflect natural settings, forming a changing painting with a field of vision of 360 degrees, like a portable museum. The work is accompanied by photographs documenting the artist’s action.
