Social Project

The MACBA is a museum that aims to open and relate to its surroundings, especially its most immediate surroundings, the Raval neighbourhood and Barcelona. This relationship works through involvement and collaboration with the institutions and various social stakeholders of the city, addressing new methodologies that enable it to approach different realities and perspectives.

The MACBA’s accessibility project pursues the objective of universal accessibility through different lines of work and collaboration.

Local residents of all ages participate in this project: cooking and tasting recipes, discussing seasonal products and sharing recipes from around the world.
