Céline Gillain is a musician, video and performance artist living in Brussels. Her work is a hybrid of corrupted pop songs, feminist sci-fi, story telling and dark humour. As Nina Posner said, in Resident Advisor, "She strips down pop components, discards most of them, and recombines what's left at unusual angles—a hard blip of percussion here, a stab of melody there, haunting spoken word woven through it all".

After a debut single on mutant pop 7-inch imprint Lexi Disques, her debut LP Bad Woman was released on Drama, a sub-label of Zaltan's Antinote Records, in December 2018.

In its third edition, Lorem Ipsum persists in delving into the cracks and folds of both the musical and the ludic, intentionally articulated from the geo- and biopolitics of bodies and gestures. Where do we speak from? Who speaks? Perhaps we are moving away from the kind strangeness with which we operated on previous occasions, to articulate it politically: listening to new female voices, embracing otherness, (con)fusing sensibilities, temporalities and geographies... From the perspective of what is (almost or very) danceable.

I like to work with what is often called "cultural heritage", but the materials that I use are banal and clichéd, like sugar blocks, doors, couscous, rugs, official documents.
