There is still time to see the works in the MACBA Collection: Prelude. Poetic Intention exhibition, which in mid-January will be replaced by other works in the Collection. An exhibition of major artworks made up of diverse pieces configuring an organic ensemble, such as the visual diary that Antoni Llena composed over a period of fifteen years —the exhibited series dates from 2018— with the significant title: SOS: senyals de fum des d'un subsòl (S.O.S. Smoke Signals from Underground). Equally unmissable is Daniela Ortiz’s composition of plates intervened by the artist with targeted sentences denouncing centuries of Spanish colonialism in Latin America. Made in 2018, ¿Español, este es el oro que comes? (Spaniard, Do You Eat this Gold?) reveals the prevalence of colonial order in the current forms of food production, distribution and consumption. Also, a final chance to share Joan Brossa’s alphabetical digressions and the visual scores of the composer Josep M. Mestres Quadrenys, which to this day retain their original poetic resonance. A rehang reflecting our desire to place the artworks at the centre of the narrative. Don’t forget: the last opportunity!
