ExpressArt. Portable Museum. An Approximation to Contemporary Art

This course is addressed to infant and primary school teachers who have already worked, or intend to work, with the "ExpressArt: Portable Museum" project produced by the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA).

Objectives

The objective of this course is to facilitate information on the work of contemporary artists who form part of the project and to analyse the main changes that have occurred in artistic practices since the middle of the 20th century. It also includes study of the concepts behind the selected works.

At the same time, the work of the artists will be used to provide resources and specific strategies to help teachers with the task of designing creative proposals and activities linked to different areas of knowledge.

Above all, the course aims to become a space of exchange between professionals where they can share their satisfaction and enjoyment.

Methodology

The course will combine sessions for working on the project's didactic material, observation sessions and direct work in the museum's halls, as well as other sessions in which more practical creative activities will be carried out. These will be followed by processes of dialogue and reflection in which an exchange of ideas and proposals will be encouraged.
