Juan Uslé. Ojo Roto
The monographic exhibition organised at MACBA in 1996 borrowed its name from one of Juan Uslé’s works, Ojo roto (Broken Eye), which is a metaphor for the decline of the gaze, besieged by the excess of images, which observes the world in a fragmented manner. Through his work, Uslé contemplates pictorial practice and the natural landscape as a catalyst for emotions. The catalogue includes reproductions of some of the works in the exhibition, texts by the artist and two studies on his work by Rainer Crone and Petrus Graf von Schaesberg.
