Martha Rosler reconstructs the exploration by a woman and child of the contents of a Christmas charity hamper given to them by the wealthy community of the City of Delmar, California. Played by the artist and her son Joshua, mother and child inspect the various items and food coupons. In answer to the Christmas wishes of ‘the PTA, the High School and the City of Del Mar’, the mother replies: ‘But we’re Jewish.’
