Starting with a Poetry Competition on 8 May and ending with the International Festival on 14 May, Barcelona celebrates Poetry Week. Offering about thirty activities, the programme includes recitals, meetings, concerts and lectures with performers and artistic languages related to poetry.

The Capella MACBA will host some of the activities. On 10 May, at 8 pm, the poet Martí Noy and the dancer Marc de Pablo will perform Invocació (Invocation), using their respective languages (poetry and dance) to communicate their solitude. On Sunday 12 May, at 12 noon, Silvie Rothkovic and Albert Forns will offer a poetry recital. On the same day, at 7 pm, the dancer Andrés Corchero and the musician Horacio Curti will perform Ukigumo, a farewell dance in the ancient Japanese tradition of poems dedicated to the journey to the hereafter.
