José Antonin Sánchez has a PhD in Philosophy and is a professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Cuenca (UCLM). His publications include Brecht y el expresionismo (1992), La escena moderna (1999), Prácticas de lo real en la escena contemporánea (2007), Cuerpos ajenos: ensayos sobre ética de la representación (2017) and Tienen la palabra: apuntes sobre teatralidad y justicia (2022). He is the founder of the research group ARTEA and of the Master’s degree programme in Scenic Practice and Visual Culture (UCLM and MNCARS). He has collaborated in events on artistic creation and thought with various initiatives or institutions, such as Desviaciones (Madrid), Al Ma’Mal Foundation (Jerusalem, Palestine), Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), MITAV (Bogota), REDCAT (Los Angeles), the El Chopo Museo Universitario (Mexico) and others.
