Cutout animation is a technique that uses flat (2D) characters or characters with volume (3D), props and backgrounds cut out of materials such as paper, cardboard, stiff fabric or even photographs. The aim of this workshop is to offer participants the tools they need to explore and develop their own skills and appropriate materials to create their own animation piece. We will explore the techniques and software used for cutout and stop motion animation. Get animating!
