Ricardo Cárdenas

Ricardo Cardenas, an undisciplined artist, focuses his research on poetic resignification within political spheres, in specific contexts and communities under duress. He has a degree in visual arts from the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas-UNAM, and graduated from the SOMA Academic Program in Mexico, as well as from the MACBA Independent Studies Programme (PEI). He has collaborated on some of the museum’s educational projects, such as L’art com a resposta and Visites d’autor.
Since 2019 he has been collaborating with the Ràdio Web MACBA Working Group and recently obtained the La Capella Barcelona Producció grant in delocalized projects, for which he is developing a sound piece on the emotional aspects of migration processes.
