Marissa Malik, best known by her stage name Manuka Honey, is a multi-disciplinary artist, astrologer, bruja, DJ and producer at the forefront of underground music coming out of the UK. US-born and London-based, her work explores diasporic language formation, mysticism, and occult practices. She translates her practice through beautifully chaotic DJ sets, live performances, and sonic pieces which incorporate her work as an astrologer and tarot reader. Malik is also the co-founder of London’s Latin American queer collective and club night SUZIO (@suzio.ldn), which creates an intentional space to celebrate artists from the LatAm underground. She is also the resident astrologer of gal-dem magazine.

Malik’s music productions and remixes have earned her a rightful space amongst the catalogs of NAAFI, Promesses, Daytimers and YCO. Mirroring her party-starting prowess behind the decks, her debut EP “Industrial Princess” captures the broad pallet of an artist that is tuned into the global underground; capable of articulating her influences into a mystic concoction of all that she admires. Her most recent performance of the ongoing live set ‘DESENTERRADA’ was performed at the Athens Biennale in collaboration with DJ Florentino in September 2021.
