Participants in the 9th edition of the MACBA PEI will share their knowledge, experiences, songs, instructions, questions, choreographies and methodologies. This series of exchanges will allow a multitude of experiential journeys, everyday enquiries and a wealth of knowledge –both personal and collective– to cross-pollinate.

This event is presented as part of Song for Many Movements, an ephemeral experiment in which the ground floor of MACBA becomes a stage for encounters, conversations and shared listening. Curated by María Berríos and Sabel Gavaldon.

Pornographic practices against the death drive

Feña Herrada

A BDSM session will guide the opening of a porn archive created in Santiago de Chile from 2019 to 2022. This period marked by the social uprising and the pandemic, reconfigured our relationship with death, and permeated the pornographic scene, simultaneously intensifying censorship against it.

The sound of our lands

Efecto Desarme (Rocío del Pino), Marcos Krämer and Lluís Vecina

Sonic improvisation, guided by and in dialogue with the audience. We will reflect, through collective improvisation, on the identity of our various territories, and on the memories that those sounds evoke.

Las Anarosas present: This is what we call theft

Mariana Orantes, Lara Martínez, Laura Paz Muñoz and Tatiana Donoso

This performance uses necro-writing and literary disappropriation to create sonic-poetic pieces based on the workings of "a machine that affirms randomness and chance".
