Ted Daniels & Charlie Collins Duo (New York / Sheffield)
This year, the LEM Autumn festival touches down at MACBA with a musical improvisation project that is the result of a lucky find at the 2009 London Jazz Festival. The sound spectrum that the duo Ted Daniels (trumpet) and Charlie Collins (drums and percussion) work in is a convergence of different milestones of contemporary musical experimentation: a zone that accommodates Archie Sheep and Gavin Bryars, Derek Bailey and Industrial Records.

ZNGR Electro-Acoustic Ensemble (Lisboa / Barcelona)
The second LEM evening at MACBA brings listeners a highly representative cartography of sound experimentation in Portugal. ZNGR Electro-Acoustic Ensemble is a musical joint venture created by Carlos Zingaro together with some of the most interesting names in this scene, under the umbrella of Granular association. The gypsy violin is joined by the guitars of Emidio Buchinho and Nuno Rebelo, and the sound devices of Carles Santos.
