BccN Barcelona Creative Commons Film Festival will hold its fourth edition from 9–12 May at MACBA Auditorium. This is the first festival in the world under a Creative Commons licence. More flexible than traditional licences, these allow authors to publicise their work, bring it closer to the audience and distribute it on the web. The philosophy behind this event has turned it into a festival replicated in over twenty cities in the world.

The festival will open on 9 May with the première of TPB-AFK The Pirate Bay, Away From Keyboard, a documentary on the life of the three founders of TPB. Somin Klose, the director, will make the presentation. On 12 May the festival will close with the screening of 15M: Excelente. Revulsivo. Importante, a documentary written and directed by Stéphane M. Grueso.

Besides the screening of documentaries, feature and short films, BccN offers an interesting repertoire of parallel activities: the founders of #LittleSecretfilms, a low budget film distribution platform, will talk about their project and the key to its success; the section Nueva Auditoría will offer young people in Barcelona the chance to compete for the Marvin & Wayne distribution prize; and the round table Nou Internet Film Television, together with Media Antena Catalunya, will open a debate on the new strategies for creating and funding internet television.
