Various supports were used in the development of Vivendes... vivendes to examine the way social inequalities are reflected in dwellings. It analyses dwellings in districts of Barcelona and its surroundings, where the layout and use of space, the decoration and the presence or absence of objects or domestic appliances reveal very different living conditions. While working-class homes barely comply with the minimum housing standards, bourgeois homes are built as affirmations of power and prestige. The study concludes that there are two types of dwelling: that of the ruling and that of the ruled classes.
