A Fence with a View of its Own

Based in Barcelona, Vázquez studied photography at Hackney Community College in London and at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya. His work has been exhibited in museums, art biennials, galleries and festivals around the world, including in the United Kingdom, China, France, Italy, Switzerland, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Mexico, the United States, Uruguay, Tunisia and Cuba. He specialises in urban art projects, murals and advertising, creating works full of expressiveness that convey struggle and humour. Driven by his boundless interest in people, their experiences, nomadism, uprootedness, street life, purity and everything that moves him, Vázquez finds his most direct channel of expression in portraiture.
