Veure la llum. Eugènia Balcells

Eugènia Balcells created two stand-alone installations – Camps de color (1996) and Traspassar límits (1995) – that explored many of the characteristics of light, from its embodiment as colour to its ability to pass through solid forms. In the exhibition Seeing the Light at MACBA in 1996, these two installations were linked by a grey corridor – the spectator’s space –, which offered the eye light in its purest state. This catalogue recaptures this exhibition in which light shaped works of art and the world.
