ATTENTION: CHANGE OF DATES

This activity is conceived as a new space in which teachers can acquire knowledge and tools that they can later apply directly in the classroom. These practical workshops will be imparted by artists, other active agents from the art scene, and experts from the educational community.

How can concepts linked to contemporary artistic language be transformed into practices that can be implemented in the classroom? Using this question as a starting point, the workshops aim to provide tools and generate content that participants can apply in real learning contexts, through creative processes presented by professionals from the art field.

We offer six editions of this course: Wednesadys 19 November, 10 December, 21 January, 18 February, 18 March and 15 April, from 6 pm to 9 pm

The condition of the alien

By Mireia c. Saladrigues
That which pedagogically is understood as a ‘real task’ is what, from experience, I call ‘an alien landing in the school’. Alien status, or somebody who is outside the group, arouses curiosity. And it is this circumstance that I have used in educational settings to create a ‘real’ work context. I refer not only to shared creative processes and the understanding of the concerns and methods of work, but to a particular focus of interest, both powerful and enthusiastic... Many artists deploy and use in their creative processes that which in education is understood as globalising methodologies.

Mireia c. Saladrigues is a visual artist and researcher. Through various methodologies, her projects address the processes of formation of an audience, the conditions to which the viewer is exposed and the institutional circumstances that determine the relationship with the artistic. Saladrigues is doing a PhD at the University of the Arts in Helsinki and is represented by the galeria àngels barcelona.
