Museum Last entry to the museum and entrance tickets may be purchased up to 30 minutes before closing time. Please note that the exhibition rooms will begin to close 15 minutes before the closing time. The Museum will be closed on 1 January and 25 December.

ACCESS DURING THE EXPANSION WORKS
From January 2025 to February 2027, we will be working on the expansion of the museum in Plaça dels Àngels. We want your visit to be easy and comfortable: consult the means of access and come to the museum without complications! Plaça dels Àngels: it will remain open at all times, with a passageway allowing both people and service vehicles to access the square. Museum: access to the museum areas will be as usual:
Meier Building: through the usual entrance in Plaça dels Àngels.
Research and Documentation Centre: through the main door of the building at Plaça dels Àngels 8, which will also be used to access the Library, the Archive and the Reading and Family Space.
Convent dels Àngels Auditorium: through the main door of the Centre for Studies and Documentation and through the door of the Capella at Carrer dels Àngels 5.
Terrace of the Convent, Mobile Garden and Community garden: during the first few months of construction, a new exclusive entrance will be provided through Plaça de les Caramelles.
La Capella MACBA and the other spaces of the Convent dels Àngels (Forum Space, Gothic Hall, Renaissance Hall and Auditorium): through the Capella MACBA.
Meier Auditorium: through the usual entrance in Plaça de Joan Coromines.

*Access to Plaça dels Àngels and the museum is guaranteed for people with reduced mobility.
*Construction will not affect the academic routine of the Escola Vedruna.
Plaça dels Àngels underground car park: access for vehicles and people to the Plaça dels Àngels car park will not be affected, meaning people will be able to enter and exit as normal.

Yes, every Saturday afternoon from 4 pm, and the open days: Santa Eulàlia (February 11) The International Museum Day and the Night of the Museums (May 18) and the city’s patron saint day, La Mercè (September 24). See the Tickets section for more information.

Children up to 18 years have free access.

Yes. We recommend you purchase your ticket in advance. You can choose the time slot that’s best for your visit, to reduce waiting time and queuing. Persons with a disability or reduced mobility will have the right to preferential access in the advance purchase entry queue.

Yes, you can take photos without flash. The images must only be for personal, non-commercial use. MACBA may occasionally need to restrict permission for specific works or exhibitions.
