It can't be here! Displaced objects and subjects in transit Miralda and Octavi Rofes: an open conversation about 'Holy Food' and 'Twin'.

Holy Food is an installation that deals with food offered to the Orisha gods – deities of the Yoruba religion – as a phenomenon of transcultural survival. Twin deploys the research processes, production strategies and stories that led to the installation Twin Tastes & Tongues at the Shanghai Biennial.

These two proposals by Miralda respond to the artist’s interest in gastronomy as a way of exploring the imaginary, traditions, rituals, politics and forms of social organisation through food. Concepts like offerings, the healing power of food and the movement of goods and attitudes in a global world are central to the experience that Miralda and anthropologist Octavi Rofes will offer through this guided tour of the installations.

At the end of the visit, there will be a small tasting, courtesy of the cultural association Nyamnyam and the Mosquito restaurant.
