Octavi Comeron
After studying Fine Arts at the Universitat de Barcelona, Octavi Comeron lived and worked in Cyprus (1989), Verona (1991), Paris (1999), New York (2001), London (2002) and Sâo Paulo (2011). A visual artist, essayist, teacher and promoter of multiple collective projects, he is involved with rethinking the social and ideological implications of the work dynamics and labour models of advanced capitalism, a framework in which he also places the network of relationships that exist between the productive economy and artistic practices. As a result of his doctoral thesis, he edited the book of essays Arte y postfordismo. Notas desde la fábrica transparente (Art and Post-Fordism. Notes on the Transparent Factory: Trama, 2007).
His artistic work has been shown in national and international exhibitions, including such venues as NauEstruch, Sabadell (2011), Kwadrat Gallery, Berlin (2010), La Panera, Lleida (2009 and 2006), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Mexico City (2009), Koldo Mitxelena, San Sebastián (2006) and Institute of International Visual Arts, London (2002).
