Milk, Coca Cola & Balut
Milk, Coca Cola & Balut
1986
Milk, Coca Cola & Balut (1986 documents a tradition from the Philippines: during Holy Week, a crucified girl representing the religious divinity of the Holy Child is fed with milk, Coca Cola and balut (a goose egg incubated for eleven days). The work includes a series of explanations by David Barradas, doctorate in social anthropology from the University of Chicago. The work was part of a video-installation included in the project Barcelona-Filipinas at CARC, Toulouse (1986).
