Herminio Molero
Wild O'clock. Sèrie: "Blues"
Wild O'clock. Series: "Blues"
1968
Herminio Molero was part of the so-called New Madrid Figuration, a Pop and ironic artistic trend beginning in the seventies. Interested in visual and concrete poetry, he has always considered himself ‘a painter who makes music’.
Among his first poems, the Blues series (1968) relates linguistic elements with figures of clocks and birds, recurring elements in his work that achieve musical qualities through their sequentiality and dynamism. Another Little Breakfast (1968) incorporates images of music icons such as John Lennon, Judy Collins, Jane Birkin, Bob Dylan, Marianne Faithfull and Mick Jagger, and comic-book superheroes such as Captain America.
