“Between stations” és un àlbum de collages de sons gravats en cintes magnètiques per a l'edició de “sonic fabric”, un teixit sonor fet a base de fibres de polièster i cinta magnètica de casset. -- “Between stations” consisteix en catorze pistes inspirades en la vida a la ciutat de Nova York, i es compon de sons recollits als carrers de Manhattan i Brooklyn entreteixits amb música i altres sons creats i trobats. -- La funda està feta amb "sonic fabric". -- Conté un document amb instruccions per crear un casset de butxaca que permet reproduir sons amb "sonic fabric" i un llistat de les pistes gravades al disc.
