Gerard Vilar’s guided tour of the exhibition MIRALDA MADEINUSA offers a philosophical reflection on the ritual and celebratory dimension of food, in line with Miralda’s ironic and provocative proposal. Through this reflection, Vilar will share some of his recent research into the philosophy of food and Food Art, as in his works Feeding Thought (Disturbis Press, 2012) and ‘Feeding Thought. Un argumentario contra algunos mitos y por la innovación académica’ (Nómade 5, 2014).

Gerard Vilar is professor of Aesthetics and Art Theory at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. More information: http://www.crew.esteticauab.org/gerardvilar/Homepage.html
