How would you go about making your family portrait? Are there two sides to any portrait, what we see and what we don’t see? How many different ways to represent, or to represent ourselves, are possible?
Drawing inspiration from portraits by artists who form part of the MACBA Collection such as Richard Hamilton, Dieter Roth, Antonio Beneyto and Martin Kippenberger, this workshop invites us to explore the many possibilities of the genre, using unusual formats and eclectic materials.
