Raymond Pettibon. Plots Laid Thick

The artist Raymond Pettibon played a key role in the intersection of pop and high culture in the United States. His drawings, comics and record covers combine literary references to figures like Marcel Proust, Henry James and William Blake with the narrative style of comics and popular vignettes. His drawings feature figures such as the hero, the prostitute, the drug addict, the athlete and the cowboy, as well as others related to the WASP mentality.
