La novela en África

'Reading is not a typically African recreation. Music, yes; dancing, yes; eating, yes; talking, yes – lots of talking. But reading, no, and particularly not reading fat novels.' South African writer John Maxwell Coetzee (Nobel Prize in Literature, 2003) presented The Novel in Africa in 1999 in the framework of a series of lectures organised by MACBA. This lecture in novel form was published in Spanish in 2003.
