Muntadas. On Translation

For Muntadas, translation is more than a cross between cultures, it is the space where the recognition and permanence of cultural, political and economic identities come into play. Since 1995, Muntadas has been working on a series of works in progress entitled On Translation, having earlier declared that he did not intend to exhibit works, but rather their consequences. The results can be seen in this catalogue, which revolves around the concept of cultural translation as a contemporary phenomenon.
