Since the early 1990s, Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller have collaborated on works that feature sound and the voice as both raw material and principal subject matter. This catalogue brings together texts, images and video documentation on the works they have produced over the past fifteen years, and also constitutes a kind of anthology that reveals their sources of inspiration. Cardiff and Miller have selected the literary and scholarly texts by Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, Philip K. Dick, J. W. Dunne, Robert Jourdain and Franz Kafka that appear in this volume.
