Indiferencia y singularidad. La fotografía en el pensamiento artístico contemporáneo

In 1996, MACBA organised the seminar Photography, between the Imaginary Museum and the Ruins of the Museum as a springboard for a debate on contemporary photography. This volume from the ‘Llibres de recerca’ collection is an anthology of some of the most significant essays in the genre by theorists who contribute unique theoretical elements, including Karen Knorr, John Roberts and Sheryl Conkelton. The book reflects on how photography has tried to respond to the general crisis of representation and broadened its conceptual and technical boundaries.
