Youcef Kaminsky, alias Rocé, is a hip hop artist, rapper and creator of four French rap albums between 2002 and 2013.   A fervent defender of an unadulterated rap, his chiselled lyrics match perfectly with a rough and committed art. In 2018, he released Par les damé.e.s de la terre - struggle voices 1969-1988, a compilation he directed of French-language songs from all around the world, containing unknown or forgotten tracks by artists involved in struggles for labour and decolonisation. An heir to protest, Rocé is the son of the late anti-colonialist protestor Adolfo Kaminsky.
