Vidal-Quadras is a painter, engraver, textile designer and professor of art. From 1971 to 1973, she attended the Escola de Disseny Tèxtil in Barcelona, where Josep Grau-Garriga taught. From 1974 to 1982, she collaborated in Josep Grau-Garriga’s workshop and assisted in different environments in Barcelona, Paris, Arles, Carcassonne (France) and Vermont (USA). In 1979 and 1980 she collaborated with artist Valerie Bechtol in various performances in California (USA). In 1984, she received a Fulbright scholarship for one academic year at the Pratt Institute in New York where she graduated with Highest Honours in 1986. In 1987 she collaborated on Antoni Miralda’s Honeymoon Project in New York. Since 1986, she has exhibited her pictorial work in New York, Barcelona, Aragón, Bogota (Colombia), Mexico and Poland. She has taught art and design at the EINA University School of Design and Art of Barcelona and the IADE School of fashion and interior design. She has also worked as an assistant to the Sociology of Art class at the University of Barcelona and as an official Guide to Catalonia.
