She is one of the greatest representatives of a generation of artists who have revolutionised contemporary flamenco. Didier Deschamps, director of the Théâtre de Chaillot in Paris, described Morales’ work as embracing ‘intensity, elegance and sensuality’. Technique, stage presence and a knowledge about dance characterise the choreographies of this ‘bride of the wind’, as the critic Manuel Martín Martín described her in El Mundo. Her creations search for a choreographic discourse that will reflect her own life, thus evolving along with her personal development, in pieces that cross borders with other arts and in which improvisation is the seed of movement.
