Dancer and choreographer, she studied flamenco with Mariquilla, Juan Andrés Maya, Juana Amaya, Carmen Cortés, Mario Maya, Javier Latorre, Matilde Coral and Israel Galván, among others. Beginning her professional career in the tablaos and zambras of Sacromonte in Granada, in 2003 she won the award ‘El Desplante’, from the International Cante de las Minas Festival, in La Unión, before beginning her collaboration with Javier Latorre’s company. In 2010, the Spanish association of journalists specialising in flamenco awarded her a prize for best dancer in 2009. Since 2013, she has led the Urban Flamenco Choreographic Laboratory. With her own company, she has premiered more than twelve original works in various flamenco events globally. Her latest, Frente al silencio, within the framework of the XXV Festival de Jerez, has resulted in the film under the same title directed by Emilio Barrachina.
