Sally Fenaux Barleycorn is a screenwriter, director and diversity consultant for audio-visual projects and companies, with more than a decade of professional experience in the film industry on an international level. Her curriculum vitae consists of work in various roles and a broad variety of productions. With regard to her own projects, she has written and directed a dozen short fiction films both independently and for clients, a fiction feature film for online distribution, and several video projects for exhibitions and museums.

In the last two years, she has also gotten into mentoring and the selection of projects for competitions, activities in which she places special emphasis on the urgent need to create a much more diverse and inclusive audio-visual industry.

Sally’s work focuses particularly on the great importance of stories in the construction of social and individual imaginaries, encouraging audio-visual creation in practice and in theory that not only represents the world in which we live, but the world in which we dream of living.
