Cesare Zavattini (1902-1989) was the scriptwriter and film theoretician who inspired Italian Neorealism after the Second World War, in particular through his association with the director Vittorio de Sica. This programme is one of a series of events organised by the Instituto Italiano di Cultura de Barcelona in tribute to Zavattini on the occasion of the centenary of his birth.
