We invite the Friends of the MACBA to visit Alex Reynolds: Perquè tinc llàgrimes! (Alex Reynolds: Because I Have Tears!) at CaixaForum Barcelona.

Visitors to this exhibition will become acquainted with recent works by Reynolds, a filmmaker and artist from Bilbao who explores the limits of cinematographic language, transcending the primacy of the visual.

The exhibition includes his latest short filmSegunda persona, tercera persona (Second Person, Third Person), an audiovisual piece based on an interview with an asylum seeker in France. By putting us in the uncomfortable position of the interviewee, Reynolds makes us reflect on the importance of the narrative in institutional bureaucracy and its consequences on the lives of those involved.

Visit led by Sabel Gavaldón, curator of the exhibition and head of programmes at MACBA.
