27 February sees the twenty-fifth anniversary of the creation of the mural Todos juntos podemos parar el sida (Together we can stop AIDS) by the American artist Keith Haring, innitially in Barcelona’s Plaça Salvador Seguí and later installed on the wall of Plaça Coromines, next to MACBA.
On the occasion of this celebration and of the installation of a reproduction of the mural on the same wall from which it was removed a few years ago, there will be a screening in the MACBA Auditorium of a documentary video recording the artist creating the work. The presentation will be given by Cesar de Melero, owner of the video and one of the people who witnessed Keith Haring at work in Barcelona in 1989.
Until 2 March a series of documentary photographs showing Keith Haring painting the original mural in 1989 will be on display in the MACBA Foyer.
