Teenage Flock is an action directed by dancer and choreographer Aimar Pérez Galí with students from Institut Menéndez y Pelayo, participants in the EN RESiDÈNCiA project, and HABITACIÓ 1418 ‘roomers’. This last session of Teenage Flock is presented as part of the EXPERIENCE MACBA dance and contemporary art programme. Drawing on the skills acquired in the previous sessions (7 March and 11 April), participants will perform spontaneous choreographies, allowing themselves to be carried away by the group, collectively negotiating their movements like a flock of birds.
Since 2009, the EN RESiDÈNCiA has been bringing contemporary creation to high school students in Barcelona through the presence of artists in residence.
EN RESiDÈNCiA is run by the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona and the Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona, and was conceived in conjunction with the association A Bao A Qu. As part of the sixth edition of EN RESiDÈNCiA (2014-2015), the education team at the Graner - Mercat de les Flors has coordinated Aimar Pérez Galí’s residence at Institut Menéndez y Pelayo.
