An alternative proposal for Twelfth Night. The Song of the Birds is a very personal tale by the filmmaker Albert Serra. It narrates the troubled journey of the Three Magi in search of the infant born in Bethlehem.

Barcelona-based filmmaker and producer Albert Serra is one of the most unique and exciting figures to emerge on the recent European scene. His films include Honor de cavalleria (Honour of the Knights), 2006; El cant dels ocells (Birdsong), 2008; and El senyor ha fet en mi meravelles (The Lord Worked Wonders in Me), 2011. He is currently preparing Història de la meva mort, a film based on the myths of Casanova and Dracula. He previously worked with MACBA on the exhibition 'Are you Ready for TV?' directing the mini-series The Names of Christ, 2010 and offering an overview on the Aleksandr Sokurov's Films on the occasion of the 'Military Series. Aleksandr Sokurov in the MACBA Collection' exhibition.

Every Saturday in December MACBA will remain open until 9 pm. During these extra opening hours (6 to 9 pm), the Museum will offer a specific programme with music, dance, artistic actions and talks in the exhibition galleries. There will also be special guided visits to discover the secrets of the conservation of the works, the architecture of the building and the world of performance. In addition, there will be an extra guided tour of the current exhibitions at 7.30 pm.
After 6 pm you will be invited to a Moritz beer. A free annual PASI will also be included in the admission price.
