Performance, musical action and action Action at the end of the month

The last month of the year our program includes three different ways of situating the body in space that demonstrate the persistence of performance art among young generations of artists. These options also offer the public three different ways to approach them and interact.

Marc Vives and Martín Vitaliti have had somewhat parallel lives and work, with many differences, but with many connections as well. Some time ago they tried to remedy this on-stage and live, through voice, body, rhythm and what surrounded them. They thought of it as an excuse to meet and in the end they meet for other things. They intend to rehearse, but the result is always something different. Parameters are set and they roam around them in search of times that are not times, exceptional times. They are guided by shame and disgrace, basing themselves on paralanguages of tones, limps and wild gesticulation. This time they are going to do versions, a different one each day from Monday to Saturday.

To sleep with the doors open, deactivate the security protocol, open the way to the unknown, assimilate the outside temperature, get lost along the way, repeal the rules of use, tighten a line between two parallel interiors, extract the locks.… Luz Broto’s work often emphasizes exploration as a tool for getting to know our surroundings, and action as a generator of experiences that begin with the individual and move towards the collective. On this occasion, she offers us a situation that aims to extend beyond the time of the session and outside the museum, in an unexpected transition between public space and private space.
