Saturday 14 November, from 9.00 p.m.

9.00 p.m.

Macromassa is a sound and music experimentation project (expanded to include literature, performance and installation) founded by Juan Crek and Víctor Nubla in Barcelona in 1976. After releasing their thirteenth album (Sucede allí, 2018), Macromassa returned to the stage in 2019. Originally scheduled for the Night of the Museums in May, the members of Macromassa held numerous preliminary rehearsals, and the musical parts performed by Víctor Nubla have been taken from these rehearsals. Juan Crek will improvise over them in the purest microtonic style.

Canvis Vells. Victory in the forest by the blacksmith’s hammer

Canvis Vells was created in 2011 to perform the compositions of Antoni Martí. Since then the group has been playing a repertoire centring solely on the composer’s instrumental music. Canvis Vells is a chameleonic ensemble, perpetually transforming, which has had a number of different formats, increasing or decreasing the number of musicians that make it up depending on the repertoire at any given moment. Canvis Vells is currently made up by clarinetist Víctor Bonet, bassist Miquel Ferrés, pianist Cristian Vega and Toni Martí himself on the guitar, joined on this occasion by Triulet guitarist Gerard Rosich.

By presenting a story of a victim of violence in Colombia, I am calling on the memory of pain which all human beings have, here or anywhere else in the world.
