Special guided tours and an excuse to discover, explore, and –why not?– get outside and breathe some fresh air.

9.30 pmMoving Architectures. Experience MACBA
Lipi Hernández, director of the dance company Malqueridas, presents the choreographic device Moving Architectures. A mis-en-scène based on the idea of the status of the body as a communication medium par excellence.
“Any movement, whether it is a reflex or not, whether in part or whole, that we use to communicate a message forms part of the language of the body” (Tomás Motos, 1983)

From 10 pm to 3 am The Night of the Blackout
The night invites twelve poets and artists to invent a sound and performative installation in dialogue with a series of audiovisual pieces from the MACBA Collection and other sources. This first night launches a new public activity format. It is a collision between fiesta and assembly, popular and critical culture, theatre and the academy, the public square and the museum.

SUNDAY 18 MAY
MACBA WITH THE FAMILY - Through...
A big family workshop where you can discover how contemporary art seeks to surprise observers and actively engage them in the works.
Through the exhibition Before Our Eyes, we will explore the work of artists from both sides of the Mediterranean. Following the instructions provided by the artist Jordi Ferreiro during the tour, we will interact with the installations, examine an enormous graffiti, and unravel the mysteries of works made out light, sound, and waste materials.
Then, participants are invited to appropriate these materials and work with them to create a new, experimental collective project of our own.
10 am – 3 pm non-stop. Museum Atrium. Limited places. Advance booking not required.
