Music and contemporary technology
The Phonos Foundation promotes the use of the most modern technological advancements, particularly computer-related, to make music. Thanks to their strict cooperation with the IUA (University Institute of Audiovisuals), they offer musicians a professional ambience based on the most recent technology in which they can experiment new ways of creating and controlling sound. The research projects aim to develop new computer tools and to find innovative and creative paths. As for diffusion, Phonos organizes concerts, conferences and a variety of activities to present works made in their laboratories as well as those from similar centers around the world.
