Lynne Cooke is deputy director of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia (MNCARS) in Madrid. In 1991 she began working as a curator at the Dia Art Foundation (New York), where she organised exhibitions by Louise Bourgeois, Agnes Martin, Rosemarie Trockel, Katharina Pritsch, Juan Muñoz, Thomas Schütte and Roni Horn, among others. She has also curated exhibitions at institutions like Whitechapel Art Gallery and Harvard Gallery in London, Third Eye Center in Glasgow, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, Tamayo Museum in Mexico and the New York MoMA. She has published articles and essays in catalogues and art magazines and has imparted courses at University College London, Syracuse University, Yale University, Columbia University, and at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.
