Presentation of the educational programmes 2012-2013 academic year

This year, our commitment to teacher training continues and we triple the scope of our educational programme. We have expanded our usual programme of two courses per term held at MACBA, adding new courses in other parts of Catalonia so as to boost access to training. In addition, the courses will be more specialised, with some aimed specifically at kindergarten and primary school teachers and others targeted at high school teachers. These courses will join the ongoing consultancy service, presentations and guided tours that have become standard MACBA educational resources.

There are also some new developments in the schools programmes: on one hand, we bring back a permanent exhibition of the Collection that will remain open throughout the school year, and on the other we offer specialised tours for older students, focusing on architecture, photography, and the conservation and restoration of artworks. In addition, we continue to offer established programmes such as Expressart. Portable Museum for kindergarten and primary students, and Reading a Collection and Video MACBA for secondary students.
