Introduction to Contemporary Art Course: "A" is for Architecture and Art. Hybridisations.

Contemporary artistic practices are characterised by a diversification of formats, media and languages that operate in the sphere of complexity, distortion, excess and hybridisation.

The aim of the course "A" is for Architecture and Art. Hybridisations is to set up connections between the constructive logic and the experience of the creative process. Using the Rita McBride and Gordon Matta-Clark exhibitions as a point of departure, we will position ourselves at the interstice between the disciplines of art and architecture in order to open a discussion around opposite aesthetic poles.

From reason and calculation to expression and the importance of the body, boundaries blur, spaces are redefined and new meanings are found.

Course given by Ariadna Miquel.

All courses are recogonized by the Catalan Department of Education as on-going teacher training activity.
