Life according to Hans-Peter Feldmann

La vida segons Hans-Peter Feldmann
Lockdown diary

100-year timeline: individual portraits in an extensive frieze about life.

0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5… and so on up to one hundred. In 2000, Hans-Peter Feldmann created a large photographic frieze about the human life span. From among his family and friends, he found and photographed people of different ages, from 8 months to 100 years. In highly contrasting full-length or three-quarter black-and-white portraits, he presented them in their everyday context. Hung side by side, the result is an installation that reminds us both of our fragility and our strength as a group. Feldmann’s 101 portraits in days of confinement.
